What the site is
Womanshoe republishes and organizes public recall information from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and adds our own summaries, groupings and comparisons. It is an information service, not an official recall channel. Only the firm named in a recall and CPSC can confirm whether a specific product is covered and what remedy is available.
Recall data
Recall details are refreshed from CPSC every night, but notices can be updated, expanded or corrected after we read them, and our automatic sorting into groups (such as “women’s” or “fall hazard”) can be wrong. Always check the official notice linked on each page before returning, discarding or continuing to use a product.
Size converter
Size conversions are calculated from published formulas and are a guideline. Brands size their shoes differently, and we are not responsible for a purchase that does not fit.
Trademarks
Brand, product and retailer names belong to their owners and are used only to identify products named in public recall notices. Their appearance here does not imply any relationship with, or endorsement by, those companies.
Using our content
CPSC recall text is a U.S. government work and free to reuse. Our own writing, comparisons and page layout may be quoted briefly with a link back to the page. Copying whole pages or the site’s structure without permission is not allowed.
