What to write about
- A correction. Send the page address and the part that looks wrong. If you have it, add the link to the official CPSC notice; when the notice and our page disagree, the notice wins.
- A missing recall. Send the CPSC recall number or the product name and year. Our archive holds 103 footwear recalls as of October 20, 2026; 8 older ones are list rows only, because CPSC published them as short press releases.
- A wrong group. Recalls are sorted into women’s, children’s, work-boot and ski-boot lists, and into hazard groups, by rules described on data and methods. If a recall sits in the wrong list, tell us which one.
- The size converter. Send the brand, the size printed in the shoe and the size you expected. It helps us explain where brand charts differ from the ISO 19407 formulas.
Who to contact instead
We are not the firm behind any recall, so we cannot process refunds, repairs or replacements, or confirm that your pair is covered. 94 of the 95 detailed recall pages show the firm’s recall contact exactly as printed in the notice, and every page links to the official notice on cpsc.gov.
- To claim a remedy: the firm named on the recall page, using the contact in the notice.
- To report an unsafe shoe or an injury: CPSC’s SaferProducts.gov. Our guide how to report a shoe injury explains what the form asks.
- For an injury: a doctor. Recall notices do not give medical advice, and neither do we.
